Information we collect

Depending on the features you use, SkaRaah may collect your email address, full name, phone number, profile information, account identifiers, pickup and drop locations, ride details, ride requests, safety reports and support communications. Driver applicants may submit identity and vehicle documents, including Aadhaar or PAN details, driving licence, registration certificate and optional insurance information.

How we use information

We use information to authenticate accounts, coordinate rides, display appropriate ride details, review driver verification, support pickup confirmation, prevent misuse, respond to safety reports, provide support and maintain the service.

Location

Location is used when you choose features such as current pickup, route selection, navigation or emergency sharing. SkaRaah does not claim to provide continuous emergency monitoring.

Service providers

SkaRaah uses service providers such as Firebase for authentication, database and file storage, and Mappls or other mapping services for place search and maps. These providers process information as needed to deliver their services.

Sharing

Ride details necessary for coordination may be shown to relevant members. Private verification documents are intended to be accessible only to the submitting member and authorised SkaRaah administrator. We do not sell personal information.

Browser storage and cookies

The website uses essential browser storage to remember privacy preferences. SkaRaah does not currently use advertising cookies. If analytics are introduced, this policy and the consent choices will be updated before non-essential tracking is enabled.

Security and retention

We use HTTPS and access controls designed to protect stored information. No system is completely secure. Information is retained only while needed for service, safety, fraud prevention, dispute handling or legal obligations, after which it should be deleted or anonymised.

Your choices and deletion

You may request correction or deletion of your account and associated data. Visit the account deletion page. Some records may be retained where reasonably required for safety, fraud prevention, disputes or law, and this will be explained when applicable.

Children

SkaRaah is not designed for children under 18 to independently offer or take rides. The pilot is intended for adults able to enter a lawful ride arrangement.
